Glengelg is another popular seaside resort for the people of Adelaide. It has been one since the 1800’s. Glenelg is in easy access from Adelaide by an original 1929 Glenelg electric tram, which takes 25 minutes for the trip, a must do for all visitors.

The jetty seen here was first built in 1840, but alas after a storm in 1948, about half of the jetty was washed away. It was rebuilt in 1969.

Adelaide’s founder was Colonel William Light, who surveyed the city in 1837. The statue is called Light’s Vision, as his arm points out over this beautiful city of Adelaide.

Seen here is also a photo that I took on Rememberence Day 11th November 2004 of the Adelaide War Memorial.
